AOV WORKPLACE FUNDRAISING STATION

Donations are the life’s blood of most charities including AOV.

*Donations do NOT magically drop out of the sky or arrive to a charity unsolicited.
AOV needs your help to continue our charitable mission.

ANY COUNTER OR TABLE WILL DO JUST FINE!

AOV’s CARD SIGNING STATION can be setup in any employee gathering area, a customer area… OR…

Anywhere there are people!

“Demonstrate that your company supports our troops and veterans”
…and get people involved in doing the same!

If your company has more than one location, host a AOV FUNDRAISING STATION at each one.

Can you think of any other group of people more deserving of support than America’s troops and veterans?

– Join AOV in the battle to end Veteran Homelessness –

“In today’s tough economic times, many of our military veterans, particularly those who have been recently deployed, find themselves unemployed, under-employed, homeless or AT-RISK of being homeless.”

Help End Veteran Homelessness

YES… There are 15,000 Wounded Warriors Out There… NROTC does our part to help them and we applaud the efforts of other groups. According to The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), there are over ten times that many… about 154,000 veterans who are homeless on a typical night in America. Over the course of a year, approximately twice that many experience homelessness.

Nearly 20 percent of military servicemembers who have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan, (300,000 in all), report symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, (PTSD) or major depression.

*The VA and homeless veteran service providers are seeing increased numbers of veterans with children seeking their assistance.

Help Veterans With PTSD

The devastating effects of war lead to severe depression, broken relationships, drug and alcohol abuse, unemployment, homelessness, violence, incarceration and more including suicide.PTSD Suicide has reached an alarming 18 per day! Many of our veterans really need help!

AOV’s LOCAL OUTREACH:

AOV is officially partnered with The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, (VA) in their latest groundbreaking effort to end veteran homelessness, Operation Reveille. The VA is in the process of conducting over 200 “Operation Reveille” Stand Downs in local communities throughout the USA during 2018. Operation Reveille Stand Downs are typically one- to three-day events providing supplies and services to homeless Veterans, such as food, shelter and clothing.

Local Stand Downs are widely publicized in an effort to attract those local veterans who are in need. At these Stand Downs, NROTC provides basic needs items as well as making veterans aware of the services our organization is able to provide including debt negotiation, VA benefits counseling and PTSD assistance. HELPING OUR VETERANS IN NEED:

AOV’s VETERANS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM is our attempt to help those veterans who have honorably served, and through no fault of their own, have fallen upon hard times. Government money is limited and services are often at capacity. Many veterans fall through the cracks.

AOV believes that no veteran or military family, especially a military family with young children involved, should ever find themselves living on the streets due to lack of transportation, meaningful employment or government assistance.

THERE IS VERY LITTLE COST TO YOUR COMPANY TO SETUP AND HOST A WORKPLACE VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISING STATION!

– All you need is ONE EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEER! –
